This competition is not as physically demanding as some might be. Any old, good minded, steady,
well trained horse, mule, or donkey, will do well.
The competition consists a set of stations or obstacles that represent things or situations that you might
run into on the farm, out on the trail, in town, in a parade, or at the fair.
In time I will sort through and post photos representing most of the obstacles or stations.
Each participent will be judged on each station or obstacle.
There will also be a time allotment for each station and a total time allotment.
The "start" will be to lead your horse (or mule) in between two logs.
Possible stations may be:
Saddle your horse. Bridle your horse. Pick up each foot and slap the bottom.
Mount up. Back out of the logs. Cross a tarp. Cross a bridge. Check the mail. Through a gate. Cross
water. Put on and take off a slicker. Carry a flag. Help park a car. Cross a sprinkler. Pass by
a fogger. Cross a teeter-totter. Through a hanging tarp. Go under a cardboard half-fallen log.
Pick up "spiderman" out of a baby carrige. Place him in an empty lawn chair. Take a bottle of water from a person on
a running lawmower. Drag a bucket, turn and pull it to you, lift and dump it. Pass a windmill. Open and
umbrella, pass the fogger, and more.
