SOTA (Minnesota)
Sota is my riding mule. I use her for trail riding, hunting out west, and as my posse mount.
Both Marcia and I are volunteers in our county's Sheriff's Posse.
I started training Sota in the summer of 2002, as a 6 year old ('96). First ride was at
a Brad Cameron clinic. Took her back to another Cameron clinic in 2003. Since then I have put her
through posse type obsticle training and formation riding.
She still has a lot to learn but is becoming a very good trail and work mount. I am now in the process of
teaching her to do "air scenting" for use in search and rescue. She will be able to track and find lost people, just as a
rescue dog would.
